THE TSCHUGGEN EXPRESS

The Tschuggen Express, the hotel's own mountain railway has started its operation since middle of February 2009 for guests. Since the start of this futuristic railcab, which is exclusive for hotel guests, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel and the unique Tschuggen Bergoase are now representing a unique holiday resort in the Swiss alps.

At the touch of a button, the two cabins of the Tschuggen Express take 12 hotel guests directly to the skiing area and hiking tracks on each trip. While the train gains 150 metres in altitude over a stretch of 528 metres of track, the guests are able to enjoy the view across the deeply snow covered mountain tops or the lush green alpine meadows in the summer. The Tschuggen Express travels at a speed of 4 metres per second, allowing the journey to be completed in less than two and a half minutes.
