SILVER IOC/IAKS AWARD 2009 FOR THE TSCHUGGEN BERGOASE
Mario Botta’s Masterpiece has been awarded in Cologne at the end of October with the architecture prize of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Association for Sports & Leisure Facilities (IAKS). Since 1987 every two years this award is given to outstanding sports & leisure facilities from all over the world for their exemplary good designed structure and for their outstanding functionality. |

In the great Hotel rating 2009 the Swiss Sonntagszeitung mentioned the Tschuggen Grand Hotel for the first time in the category as “Wellness hotel” and it reached third place from the start. For the Sonntagszeitung the five star hotel can be considered “thanks to Botta’s spectacular Bergoase as one of the best Wellness hotels in the alpine region.” |

Geo Saison Hotelranking 2009
In his February 2009 edition the renowned German Travel magazine GEO SAISON awarded again the 100 best Hotels in Europe. The Tschuggen Grand Hotel has been awarded under the category “Wellness hotels” among the best eight houses. The jury confirmed the five star house “a fine ambience in which luxury and hospitality are not a contradiction.” |

Tages-Anzeiger Winterhotel Rating
On 5 December 2008 the Tages-Anzeiger awarded in his yearly Winter Hotel rating the Tschuggen Grand Hotel as best placed house from15 five-star-hotels situated in great winter sport regions. As a reason the Tschuggen Bergoase by Mario Botta was remarked, for the Tages-Anzeiger it is a “Wellness temple of overwhelming beauty.” |

In the ranking of the best Swiss vacation Hotels 2008, that was published by the economic magazine Bilanz on the 26 September, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel improved itself from last year’s eleventh rank to fourth rank . Bilanz-author Claus Schweitzer remarked the worldwide Attraction which the house gained with his “Knock-Out Spa”. As uniquely the travel specialist pointed out “the joy of hospitality with which the guests are received.” |

In the great Hotel ranking published by the SonntagsZeitung on the 25 May 2008. The Tschuggen Grand Hotel has been classified for the first time and became with the tenth rank a top ten ranking among the best vacation resorts. The SonntagsZeitung praised the Tschuggen Bergoase as “a win for the Swiss hospitality industry.” |

The GALA SPA AWARDS have been given out on Saturday 15 March 2008 for the twelfth time on behalf of the German Premium People magazine GALA in Baden-Baden. The Tschuggen Bergoase was nominated in the category “innovative Spa concepts” and runned under the best three European Spas in this important contest. |

In the 2008 Half board rating the Tschuggen Grand Hotel was rated rank eleven of 25 tested Swiss Hotels. The kitchen, the service and the ambience were tested. |

For the fifth time the ”Freizeit Verlag Landsberg”, which produces the special illustrated TOPHOTEL, honored in Basel the best Wellness hotels in German speaking Europe. The luxurious Tschuggen Bergoase with its 5000 square meters huge Wellness area has been awarded with the big Aphrodite. In 2006 the Tschuggen Bergoase was already nominated in this category, one year later General Manager André Salamin could take the Aphrodite to Arosa. |
